Area 28 parking permit question in Baltimore, Maryland

How to Get an Area 28 Guest Pass

If you’re reading this, you’ve likely realized that Mount Vernon’s residential parking zone is the only zone in Baltimore that prevents residents from purchasing a visitor pass. Luckily, I have a secret trick to obtaining a second parking permit.

You can still apply for a permit if you do not own a vehicle! To accomplish the above, you will need a few things:

  1. All of the items you need to apply for your first residential parking permit (vehicle registration, current lease/proof of residency, and your driver’s license), and
  2.  A notarized letter stating that you are authorized to drive the vehicle applications for the second permit

That’s it! Item number two (above) is an essential part of this process, and it is one of the few ways to obtain more than one parking permit in area 28.
